Creating a new evaluation phase

When creating your tender you need to select the Advanced evaluation type from the dropdown list.

The Advanced evaluations are configured in the evaluations section on the project overview page.

The To Do widget will list all outstanding evaluation actions that need need to be completed

Expand the evaluation section and click the Add new evaluation phase link.

Choose the phase and evaluation type from the dropdown lists and click Insert button.
Enter the evaluation type weighing percentages. If more than one evaluation type then the combined weighting percentage must not go above 100% total.
Note: Once you add a phase it will be removed from the phase list and cannot be used again.

Set the total weighted score for each phase.
Note: If you use the total weighting the combined weighted score for ALL phases needs to be100 otherwise they will be highlighted red.

When you select the second evaluation phase (which is normally commercial evaluations) set the predecessor from the list, once you set the predecessor is set the first phase must be completed before the next evaluation phase can be started.
Note: You must set the predecessor correctly during tender preparation as it cannot be set after the tender is published.

Once the evaluations have been added the phase, types and weighting maybe red to indicate they are incomplete.
The following conditions apply:

  • Evaluation Types is highlighted red -  No headings are linked to the evaluation phase (Use the document heading properties to correct this)
  • Evaluation Phase and Types highlighted red - Headings are linked but the category/sub category's weighting percentages are incomplete. (Use the weighting editor to correct this)
  • Weighting highlighted red - Weighting totals do not add up to 100% (Use the settings icon next to the phase name to correct this)

Once you have added all evaluation phases you need to add the moderation differential and maximum score.
The moderation differential is the difference allowed between evaluators score.
If there is more than one evaluator and the difference in scores is more than the differential then a moderator will adjust and give a moderated score.
The maximum score is the maximum number allowed to score each item.

The Evaluations widget will list anything that is still incomplete.
