Data archives protect older information that is not needed for everyday operations but may occasionally need to be accessed, the iSpec system allows you to archive certain data from the database which will help improve database performance and stop the database growing to a unmanageable size.
iSpec will archive the following data

All Project Attachments- iSpec will archive all attachments from paragraphs and correspondence history

All Project Correspondence - iSpec will archive all correspondence from each heading

All Paragraph data - iSpec will archive all data from each heading
You can only archive tenders that have the status set to completed or that were unsuccessful you cannot archive tenders that are in Preparation, Published, Negotiation, Awarded, Deferred, Canceled or Deleted.
To archive your data you must be familiar with SQL, have administrative rights to the server running iSpec and use the iSpec DBMaintenence.exe tool.
Once the tender has been archived you cannot recover the tender but you can copy the documents into another document
