User Roles

This menu option allows you to setup custom user roles over and above the default system ones and to set their permissions/access to different project functions functions.

Internal roles

To add a new internal project role, right click on the Internal user group and select Add Role.

The role will be created and you can assign the appropriate permissions.

Note: If you assign the user more than one role they will have the combined roles for both roles.

Document type permissions

The user role permissions are as follows:

View reminders - Allows the users to view reminders.

View attachments - Allows the users to view attachments in the Tools panel.

Project settings permissions

Edit project name - Allows the user to edit the project name after the project has been created.

Edit department - Allows the user to edit the department during project creation.

Edit project ID - Allows the user to edit the project ID.

Edit category - Allows the user to edit the category.

Edit project description - Allows the user to edit the project description.

Edit template additional language - Allows the user to edit template additional languages.

Edit cost centre - Allows the user to edit the cost centre.

Edit cost code - Allows the usr to edit the cost code.

Project management permission

Export documents - Allows the user to export documents on the project overview screen.

Make template available - Allows the user to make the template available on the properties link.

Rename/reorder documents - Allows the user to rename/reorder the documents in the documents list.

Delete/cancel/defer/recover - Allows the user to delete/cancel/defer/recover projects in the Tools panel.

Manage internal user roles - Allows the user to add/edit internal user roles.

Manage external user roles - Allows the user to add/edit external user roles.

Manage project flags - Allows the user to manage project flags.

Manage inspection parameters - Allows the user to manage inspection parameters.

Mark inspection completed - Mark inspections in the document list as completed.

General options

Recieve notification of unopened correspondence - Allows the user to recieve notification of unopened correspondence

Recieve notifications of open inspections - Allows the user to recieve notifications of open inspections

Recieve general project notifications - Allows the user to recieve general project notifications.

External roles

To add a new external project role, right click on the external user group and select Add Role.
