The parts library is used to manage all the spare parts used in a Project.
Click on the Parts library tab to open it.
Parts are categorized under different part types which can also be linked to a class in order to store different types of data for each part in that category.
To add a part type, right-click on the Parts library folder and select Add part type
A new part type will be added and you can edit its name
To add a part, right-click on the category (part type) you would like to add a part to and select Add part.
You may enter the new part name
You may also link a part type to a class you have defined in order to link additional data to all parts within that category
Again is in other cases this will take you to the class link manager
Here you can either remove the existing class link or change to a different one.
If you have all your parts data in a spreadsheet, you may also import it into iTech and save yourself a lot of work.
To do so click on the Import parts link in the parts library.
Then browse to the file you wish to import and click on Import File
All the imported parts will be available under the DEFAULT category. Download the sample file to ensure you use the correct format.
