Models can be assigned classes in order to allow the user to enter model specific data on the various components within the model. This information is in addition to the parts data and part type class data that the user may define. This allows tremendous flexibility in storing user defined data in the diagnostic application for later use in the runtime.
You may assign a class to the model by right-clicking on the root node and selecting Manage class property.
Select the appropriate class from the list and click on the Link Class button.
Once the class has been linked, all components can now have their class data entered into the system via the editor.
To unlink the class click the Remove link button.
