To start a troubleshooting session, you have to select one or more symptoms from the symptom list on the left, or select a known bad test.
You do so by clicking on the symptoms(or testpoint) you wish to select. Each time you click on a symptom, it will be added to the list below and the rules that are part of the symptom are triggered. In the example below where the general symptom hoist failure has been selected, you can see it results in a list of 10 probable causes (suspect components) and a list of 8 recommended tests with Hoist brake 1 being the most recommended test.
